Stef Wedding

Hey folks, I've finished editing the photos from the Stef wedding a few weeks ago.  Now that the couple has the photos, I get to post some of them.  As always, getting to photograph a wedding that features two of your friends promises to be fun and exciting.  Also, this wedding was in Indiana, my first out-of-state wedding, so I guess I'm now serving the midwest "region" and not just Illinois...how exciting!Despite early forecasts the weekend went by without a drop of rain, which was great for the outdoor ceremony that was planned.  Most of the time there wasn't even a cloud in the sky!  We couldn't have asked for a better weekend weather-wise for the event.  This wedding was another first for my new camera, I got to put the D800 through its paces in what is supposed to be its natural habitat and it performed nicely.  It was great to have 36 megapixels of resolution to work with on pictures...so much room to crop if needed and so much detail in a situation where a lot of things lie in the details.  The only downside came on the editing end.  I'm not cramped for hard drive space in any regard, but loading up 70+ MB raw files into photoshop took a bit, but I sweated it out right along with my 3.5 year old laptop and we got it done.Enough with the technical jargon, here are some of my favorite photos from the wedding, and congratulations and best wishes to Mr. and Mrs. Jonathan Stef!Creative Commons LicenseThis work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
