A couple of weekends ago we had the privilege of photographing Mike & Cassie's Wedding up in Davenport, IA. Neither of us have really ever stopped in the Quad Cities though we have driven by a few times. It was cool to get to see the town up close and there were a lot of cool places. It was this wedding that we had our first opportunity to try out our new 85mm f/1.4 and 35mm f/1.4 lenses in a true wedding situation. Fortunately for us the venue was pretty well lit, and while we definitely didn't mind have the prime lenses at our disposal they weren't quite as necessary. One of the cool things about this golf club house was that it had an upstairs area with a glass wall overlooking the dance floor. While there was annoying hand rail on the other side of the glass it still gave us a cool vantage point for the first dance. Other than the high winds that were blowing that day the weather was beautiful with comfortable temperatures and no rain to be found which allowed us to not have to worry about dodging that during the portrait time.Thanks to Mike & Cassie for letting us photograph their special day.
