We were excited to photograph some of our friends' engagement on a beautiful fall afternoon, you may remember these two from a while ago on the blog. Back in May Conner had us photograph his proposal to Emily up in Peoria after recreating some of their first dates. On this day, in midst of lively conversation, we visited some of the places that mean a lot to them here in Champaign-Urbana including the park where they first met. We loved the contrast between downtown Champaign and the woods and trees in the other locations they chose. The urban vs nature was a fun contrast to make. The weather was also beautiful with a very light breeze and temperatures in the 70's, there couldn't have been better weather. The shoot started in downtown Champaign in the midst of some of the beautiful outdoor patios that the restaurants use downtown. Then the shoot moved to Illini Grove with the sun starting to lower and casting light through the leaves. Because they are both musicians, they brought their guitars for the photoshoot and we had an impromptu serenade. We ended up at the Arboretum where we took some pictures beneath the leaves that were turning red, brown and orange. Fall is a beautiful time of year. We are so blessed to take your engagement photos and we look forward to photograph your wedding in May!
