Kaleb + Kayla | Champaign, IL Engagement
This past weekend we had the pleasure of photographing a couple friends of ours from college who are engaged to be married early this fall. JD and Kaleb roomed together in an apartment for a time and we enjoyed participating in campus ministry together throughout college. We've since headed in different directions on our career journeys, so it was great to catch up with our friends again and see how they were doing and share in the excitement of another set of friends heading toward marriage. The weather last weekend was great for an engagement session with partly cloudy skies, warm temps, and a bit of a breeze. Both the arboretum and campus are beautiful this time of year as a lot of the trees, and bushes that are planted around are blooming, creating beautiful colors all over. The crowds at the Arboretum were fairly low allowing us to get some good shots without having to worry about the interference with other people. However, the same did not hold true for the quad. Upon arriving at the campus center, we were trying to figure out where a low rumble was coming from, and upon turing the corner to see the quad we found a live B.O.B. concert in progress in the center of the large grassy area that is usually pretty quiet on Sunday afternoons. Fortunately we were able to get some shots with some of the major quad landmarks, just with some more creative composition. We're excited about all this warm weather and for the exciting things we've gotten to photograph in it, and the things we're getting ready to photograph in it. So stay tuned for more blogs as spring begins to turn to summer, and congratulations to Kaleb & Kayla on your engagement!!This work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
