Galapagos Islands | Travel Photography
Following the workshop in Cuenca, I (JD) and the other instructors headed over to the Galapagos Islands on our way back home. Initially the thought of spending another 5-6 days away from home after being worn out teaching a workshop was a little exhausting, however once we got on the islands and got our tour straightened out, the trip turned into a much more relaxing prospect. The Galapagos Islands are known for their great wildlife diversity and some pretty unique animals. Some of the cool ones were even underwater where our fancy cameras can't go (which is why if I go back again, I'm brining some form of waterproof camera). However there were tons of awesome above ground sights to see as well. So many different and cool birds, as well as turtles, crabs, sea lions, and penguins. It was definitely a struggle to go through and pick out my favorites as there were so many fun ones that I got to take. Even after 5 days on the islands, there was still so much to see, so I guess we'll have to go back again ;) Next time though I'm definitely going to make sure that Hilarie comes too. Until then though, enjoy the photos below! This work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
