Dobbins Overlook & Elsewhere | Travel Photography
Our trip wrapped up and we were set to fly out of Phoenix. We got there the afternoon before our flight was to leave early the next morning so we made a stop at a place we've always wanted to go called Dobbins Overlook. This is an overlook area that is part of the expansive Phoenix park system and is accessible both on foot, and by paved road. Due to our time constraints we opted for the road option. The overlook was much busier than we anticipated it being which caused us to have to be a bit creative with some of our shots to exclude people and on occasion creatively include them in the photos. While there was that difficulty, the view was more than worth it with the city stretched out like and LED blanket on the valley floor below. It also gave a great view of airplane traffic coming in and taking off from the airport we would fly out of the next day. The sunset was also spectacular, and we definitely hope to return to Dobbins overlook again. There were also some random photos we took in Phoenix and along our path at other points along the trip that really didn't go with a single stopping point to be grouped into one other other posts. Life is usually about the journey so it's good to show that too. This work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
