Cornerstone Festival 2012- The Violet Burning

Another one of the late night shows that I went to at the Gallery Stage was a performance by a band called: The Violet Burning.  Though I had never heard of the band before, I did know that they had a legacy at Cornerstone that goes back very far (thanks to John Thompson).  From the things he said and what I've heard from my friends who've been going to Cornerstone way longer than I have, they have been a key part in making Cornerstone what it is today. As they got ready to play and the sound guys were finishing their final checks I caught a glimpse of the band praying together before the show.  I was able to snag a quick photo, but it did not do justice for the moment.  Watching that moment said more than anyone could have told me, they truly were a band who leads, not follows. Creative Commons LicenseThis work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
