Cornerstone Festival 2012- Mike Mains & The Branches

Even though the word energy could be used to describe almost everything about Cornerstone Festival, the most deserving of that label was this band.  From the first note on the first song, the band was movin'.  Not long after the band got moving, the crowd did as well.  The transfer of energy was direct and was not limited by the fact that it was another hot day with little wind.  By the end of the set, the entire front portion of the crowd that had gathered at the from to the stage...was on the stage with the band singing all out on the last song. The show happened in one of the most challenging time slots of the day, as the sun went from high in the sky to setting beneath the tree line.  Light was a challenge the whole time, but in the end enough turned out to make a decent blog post from. Hope you enjoy them!Creative Commons LicenseThis work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
