This past week we got the chance to go down and visit Clearwater Beach, Florida for a few days.  It has been many years sense we've spent time on the beach and it was great to get back next to the ocean and feel the sand between our toes.  Clearwater Beach was a new beach to both of us, but it was definitely fun to stay at and a beautiful part of Florida's Gulf Coast.  We stayed near Pier 60 which you'll see in a few of the photos.  We always enjoy photographing piers that jut out into the ocean and this was no exception. One of the things that we forgot about until we went to schedule the trip was that many colleges would be on spring break at the time of our journey which would definitely make things crowded.  However in the end while things were definitely busy in the area it wasn't as bad as we had feared it could be, with very little disruption to our trip versus a normal summer trip that we'd taken in the past.Sunsets are awesome down in these parts, and while we only had two chances we got a real beautiful one on our first night, some photos of it are below.  We hope you also enjoy the others as well, here are some of our favorites from the trip. This work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
