This past weekend we had the opportunity to do an engagement session Steven and Savannah in parts of downtown Champaign.  When we scheduled this session we worried a bit about how the weather would turn out for a day at this time in the season, but Saturday ended up being a beautiful day have a photo session with sunny skies and comfortable temperatures.  The trees are even cooperating as many trees in the downtown area are hitting their peak color late in the fall before they drop them for the winter.  It was great to catch up with Savannah, who JD knew from middle/high school, and meet Steven.  We'll be photographing their wedding next year so not too long from now you'll see more photos of these two when next summer's wedding season rolls around.For this engagement session we made good use of the west side of downtown Champaign, and appropriately hit up West Side park for some of our photos.  Even with homecoming, the traffic and crowds weren't too bad in that part of the city and we had the chance to get some good shots of Steven and Savannah without having to fight the crowds of people.Congratulations Steven and Savannah on your engagement, we look forward to photographing your special day next year!This work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
