This past weekend we had the privilege of doing a family portrait session for the Roberts Family at the University of Illinois Arboretum.  It was a warm and sunny Saturday in August, thankfully we had some trees to provide some shade and help keep us cool.  It was great to do a family portrait session with three generations of family present.  Despite the warmth we were able to get some good shots of the family and everyone was super efficient at moving through the poses (everyone was excited for the air conditioning back in the car :) ).The Arboretum has long been one of our favorite places to have portrait sessions for families or couples as it has so many great places to take photos and the foliage in the area changes with the seasons providing us with differing backdrops depending on what time of year it is.  While we haven't tried one in winter yet (though we totally would be up for it), all three other seasons have given us a great environment and the garden workers do such a great job at taking care of all the flowers. This work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
