Redwood National Forest | Travel Photography
We're back from vacation from California! While we spent most of our time in the San Francisco area, we did make a couple trips outside the city to see a couple of awesome places. One of these places was the Redwood National Forest up in northern California. The drive, while long, was very beautiful, it was so cool to see the huge trees along the way and then see them all together in the forest. Finding a way to capture the amazing height and width of these trees is difficult as next to each other they may not seem big relatively, but standing next to one really puts it into perspective. We wandered through the trees along 2 miles of trail for a couple hours, taking our time, occasionally sitting on a bench to listen to birds and the quiet. It was quite a change from the busy city of San Francisco that's for sure. While we wish we could have spent more time in the park, or even camped in it (which we may do on a later trip), the trails gave us a good view of the park's beauty and showed us just how awesome these huge trees are! Hope you enjoy the photos, more from this trip coming soon! This work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
