Remedy Drive

On Friday night, after a long week of quizzes I got the chance to go see Remedy Drive perform at a local church in Champaign.  I had only heard one of their songs previously and it was back from when their name was just "Remedy".  So without totally knowing what to expect, I packed up my gear and headed off.  The show was very unique, since it was in a local church there wasn't much "officialness" to it.  I was up in front with a bunch of children and teenagers who had gathered around the stage for a up close view.  The stage itself was lit completely by DMX lights, which always were putting out some color.  While having colorful lights are great for concert photography to spice up the bokeh and produce some cool light-beam effects, having them be the only light is not that good.  If the light on the singer is green...he'll have green skin, so at times it was hard to get shots with semi-accurate skin tones so it didn't look like I went to see the blue man group perform.  Never the less, Remedy Drive was a VERY energetic band.  Their lead singer especially was all over the place, his favorite place being the top of his keyboard.  So check out the pics, and see for yourself!!Photos Copyright: JD Maloney
