A couple weekends ago we had the privilege of doing an engagement photo session for Mark and Jenna both at Homer Lake and here in downtown Champaign.  For a December morning the weather actually wasn't too bad, while it wasn't balmy it wasn't frozen either.  Early in that morning we had freezing fog that adhered to trees and grasses which had partially gone away by the time we started shooting but for some of the earlier photos the fog was still around as well as some of the ice.  We had met Jenna before to set up the shoot, but on this day had the pleasure of meeting her fiancé Mark as well.  Home Lake was a beautiful place to take photos that morning and was nice and quiet as well for a Saturday morning.  The fog over the lake was really cool and there was a nice variety of places to take photos and some fun prairie grass that we used for a few poses as well.This looks to be the last formal engagement/portrait session we have booked for this year, but there is a lot to come the next calendar year with many weddings and other photo sessions booked as well as some fun travel destinations ahead for us, so check back for more photos as we still have a blog post or two left to go for this year!This work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
