Last weekend we had the privilege of photographing Derek and Cortney's wedding in downtown Champaign. The ceremony took place at the Art Theater and the reception was on the fourth floor of the Illinois Terminal building with a great view overlooking the city. An awesome aspect of this wedding was the couple's get around vehicle for the day was the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile! One of Derek and Cortney's first dates was to her favorite hot dog places in Chicago since she really loves hot dogs. The odds of getting the Weinermobile for your event is pretty rare, with only six of them driving around the country, but Cortney got the call the week before their big day and there it was. The two hotdoggers operating the vehicle were awesome, with so many hot dog puns we lost track of all the ones we thought were funny (too bad pictures can't capture spoken words).Derek and Cortney's wedding guests were also very participatory as we witnessed what was probably the longest dancing train we've ever seen criss-crossing the dance floor. Along with great speeches and food, it was a great evening.
