Chicago- Skyline from above and below

One of my favorite parts of Chicago, is how it looks at night when all the lights are on the buildings.  I've made some prior trips up to photograph the city from a place out by the planetarium which I also did this time, but also I went up and got some shot from the Observatory.  This trip up I made it to the planetarium earlier than I ever had before, which was awesome.  I got to set up and also capture images of the city AS the sun went down, not just after.  I enjoyed getting to see the city in multiple lights.  On the planetarium night, the sky was clear as could be, there were just a lot of planes lined up to land at O'Hare.  As for my night in the John Hancock Observatory, I had a bit of cloud cover, but it wasn't bad at all and city made the clouds very beautiful.  Also, I grabbed a couple of skyline shots during the day, it doesn't take the lights at night to make this architecture look stunning.DSC_3769DSC_3787BWDSC_3874DSC_3884DSC_3887DSC_3891DSC_3882BWDSC_3900DSC_4112DSC_4127Pano 2BWCreative Commons LicenseThis work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
