Bushnell Fireworks 2012

As the state of Illinois baked under the hot summer sun, many cities were forced to cancel their fireworks shows for the safety of their citizens.  In addition to this my plans to attend Cornerstone starting on July 4th made things even more difficult.  Luckily a plan was concocted and I headed over to Bushnell a day early with Hilarie and watched the fireworks there instead of the ones in Champaign.  An added bonus was that I got to spend an extra night at Cornerstone Festival.  Other than a short pause in the show while the local fire crew put out a small brush fire, the show went on without a hitch and it was great to get to see fireworks again.  Even though we were in a small town the show was still fantastic, and it was great to share in the patriotic event as I haven't missed a 4th of July fireworks show since I can remember.  So here are some of my favorites from that night in the small town of Bushnell, Illinois.Creative Commons LicenseThis work by JD Maloney is licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported License.
