Illinois Volleyball

This fall has been one for the record books, many University of Illinois sports teams are thriving and doing well.  Football started off 6-0, soccer has just one the Big Ten Championship as the #2 team in the conference, and as you could guess by the title, volleyball has thrived.  For a good chunk of the early season the U of I team ranked No. 1 in the nation, though they have recently fallen to No. 5 the buzz that surrounds the home matches is still at the highest I've seen in my three years here at U of I.  I have been fortunate enough to attend a few games and have finally gotten around to editing the photos of the matches.  You will notice pink jerseys in some of the photos which comes from the night where the team had a breast cancer awareness game.  The jerseys were auctioned off and also gave a little flair to the match, as the crowd also was encouraged to change their colors from the classic orange and blue.  Just so you know, the season is nowhere close to over, as the finals don't hit until December, so you may see another post somewhere down the road.  For now though, enjoy!!
